"I
wish that I could just seat and write my book,* but that's not
possible. How would I make a living?"
When I heard the "unsuccess" stories I just talked about, I asked myself, and more importantly, I asked the Universe and The Divine:
Why are Spiritual Creative Women NOT feeling or achieving their success?
This question began a journey that is still unfolding and growing into rich adventures. This journey led me to find out that for many women and Spiritual Creatives (and you are probably both), there is a secret war going on between the Self and Others, a war that labels us selfish when we do something for ourselves, place ourselves first or benefit from what we do.
This war
is grounded in the principle of self-sacrifice. I discovered that
self-sacrifice is our enemy because it represses the Unique Essence
that the Divine planted in us to motivate and guide us towards our life
purpose. We need to understand that The Divine blesses our success and
that we need to bless it too, if we are to deliver the message that we ARE
in all our unique wounds and gifts.
Thus, my quiet journey has now become a public quest. A quest for the path to Authentic Success. This series shares insights, inspiration, stories and tools for that quest with you, so that you can give yourself emotional permission to achieve Authentic Success.

The
first book in this journey is waiting for you. It helps you to give
yourself the emotional permission to DESERVE what you want.
Women and Spiritual Creatives often deny ourselves the Key Emotional Permissions for Authentic Success because we are measuring our worth, goodness and success with old sticks that can’t wrap around our curvaceous uniqueness.
Deserving is a double-edge sword for women and Spiritual Creatives.
- We know that as God's children, we deserve to be happy.
- As messengers given a purpose or cause, we need to be successful in delivering this message.
- But when we think of deserving success, all kinds of contradictory feelings and thoughts overwhelm us.
We want to be good, so we become selfless as our religions teach. The problem is that many religions are based on models of the Sacred Masculine, directed at balancing the tetosterone-driven, competitive nature of (most) men. There's nothing wrong with testosterone, but too much of it and the boys go from playing to fighting.
But
women are wired different. From the getgo, we are caregivers, empaths and
emotionally atune to those we love and those around us. Our
estrogen-whirling cycles atune us with the cycles of the moon, the ocean
and our Tribe. As a matter of fact, it is the competitive, driven world of
male values that causes us stress because in the absence of tetosterone,
we use adrenaline to push through. As a rule, (most) women do not need to
be preached self-lessness.
Instead, the selflessness myth is wrapped around women to keep them as slaves!
As passionate people with a purpose, we want to be successful in delivering our purpose. But we need to address the hidden memories in our psyche because women and Spiritual Creatives have a history of oppression, witch-burning and holocaust behind us. These fears are running in our Collective Consciousness and are still embedded in our psyche, though we may not be aware of it.
In addition, to run with our soul's grain, we often have to run against the grain of our socialization because we have been domesticated for centuries to believe that it is not possible for us to be free, to achieve our own dreams or to create success in our own terms.

"What
makes me really happy is to do my art.* I keep dreaming with
painting in a studio surrounded by trees.* But how could I afford
that lifestyle?"
But that may not be you.
Perhaps
you have already made
the leap and are doing your art, expertise, passion or purpose full time.
Yet, even then, after our courageous choices to be loyal to ourselves, our soul and our purpose, we may be victims of invisible, but terrible Inner Wars that tear us apart.
We are at war with ourselves because what we want, and even our purpose, may be running against hidden, learned beliefs that are secretly attached to our sense of goodness. Here are a few of the Inner Wars I have experienced or witnessed:
- Creativity Vs. Money
- Spirituality Vs. Prosperity
- Safety Vs. Visibility
- Safety Vs. Freedom
- Acceptance Vs Success
- Self Vs Others
- Love Vs Power
- Freedom Vs Prosperity
- Integrity Vs Business
These secret Inner Wars divide our Inner House and render us ineffective in the actions we take in the world.
If you relate to some of this, here's what is happening inside you:
- Your subconscious, which runs about
95% of the show, including your autonomic responses, is engaging in
Internal Actions that run counter to your conscious choices.
- For example, you may be wanting or
working to achieve prosperity from your talent or spiritual message.
Your External Actions may be diligent. You may be networking,
writing, organizing, planning, consulting, creating.
- BUT your subsconcious is doing these
Internal Actions: resisting, repelling, fearing, postponing,
avoiding. Get the picture?
- Internal Actions ALWAYS WIN over External Actions because they are deep-rooted emotional processes that your subconscious interprets as measures for emergency survival.
After trying and failing for the umph time, you start to feel defeated and your Shadows have a ball, drilling you with the same beliefs that defeated you in the first place, (because they created the Internal Actions that sabotaged your choices) ~until you are drained of all energy, faith and commitment.

"I
came here to share my spiritual journey with others.* And I've
created my business to fulfill my life purpose. But I can't sell. I
hate marketing. I don't feel right about charging for spirituality.
What am I going to do?" Your Personal Dream, your passion or life purpose is burning, unused, inside you, until that fire consumes you. Let me ask you three questions:
- Are you having physical conditions, like arthritis, spasms, gum aches, allergies, loss of voice or throat lumps, migraines or lots of accidents, especially involving your ankles or fingers?
- Are you feeling drained, exhausted and dull, living in automatic?
- Do you feel like you are never fully present, as if a part of you was missing, lagging behind or pulling you away from where you are?
These may be symptoms of that energy of passion and purpose burning you up from within because you are not expressing it in your life.
You don't need to put yourself on hold!
You don't need to leave yourself behind!
You don't need to tone yourself down!
The moment you realize that The Divine blesses your success, you embrace the sacredness of your dreams and know without a doubt that the Universe is collaborating with your fulfillment. At that moment you become free, fearless and unstoppable.

But at the time, she seemed to have two left feet and was so out of touch with her body, trying to control its growth, that she had trouble acting. She had just moved to the USA from Puerto Rico and English was her second language. She was being greatly challenged at college, where she was studying Media and English literature.

Today Corazon Tierra is everything she dreamt and more. She is a dance-theatre performer who has been featured in TV and has presented her work in Spain, South Africa, Puerto Rico and in the USA. She is a Flamenco bailaora dancing with Flamenco Latino. She is a prolific writer with a popular blog and a book coming out soon. She writes for About.com in Spanish for the dance section and writes for other online media after a successful career as writer and editor for printed magazines.
Corazon has also become something that she could not imagine when she started her journey. Because she healed her condition of anorexia using the tools I shared with her, today Corazon is an expert in healing body image. She teaches women how to have a healthy relationship with their bodies. She transformed her mess into her message, her wound into her Medicine.
